    very difficult to get my 1982 rabbit into 5th gear. replaced bushings on shift linkage and now is even harder. all other gears go in fine. doesn't kick out of any gear.

    It?s going to be a short shift kit. From what I have researched it looks like there are only 2 currently available, JSP & dieselgeek. BMR & EIP have kits for 6-speed or MK4 only as far as I can tell. I am leaning towards the JSP. Any advice is appreciated.
