Even after bleeding my mk4 brake become spongy when u step on the pedal. it initially holds the car but slowly lets the car free as the pedal slowly sinks

sounds like you still have air in the system, try bleeding again until all the air bubbles stop coming out (if you use an eezybleed etc, i dont think they are that good in my opinion) better getting an assistant to press down hard on the pedal as you open the bleed nipple and then after you retighten get them to let it off slowly wait for 5 (thats seconds!!) and go again i usually do this about 6 or 7 times on each corner. If that dont work and pedal is still crap go around the car checking all unions are tight and bleed nipples too if still no good then id be looking at master cyylinder seals (id say slave too but am not sure if they have one?? am only human lol ) hope this helps :)
