    tdi 90 temp

    Hi every 1 just brought my first vw a golf tdi 90hp alh.love it the only issue i had was the temp gauge if im driving it didnt budge when sitting would go to 90 so thought thermostat or temp sensor plugged it in and it came up cts so i brought a new 1 aswell as a new thermostat these was changed today no diffrent my heaters are nice and hot but my temp stays low or 90 when sitting could this be a faulty stat or is there other things the temp sensor fault came up on scanner would this need to be reset ?

    The correct running temperature should be about 90 degrees. Your gauge is reading this temp, and your heater is blowing hot. Thermostat failure would fail {usually} in the open position, therefore the engine would warm up very slowly.

    Just discovered ive been done over had some 1 come to do my thermostat and sensor while i was at work and just discovered that they havent changed the stat thats why im still getting the problem and out of pocket

    That is really bad! I get very annoyed when mechanics/technicians bill for a task/job that they have not done, or charge for a new spare that was not changed. Hope you can now get it sorted. Thermostat is really easy to change yourself.
