    VF mounts

i finally got to put my VF mounts in, all 3!
however, my engine vibrates like crazy whenever i have the A/C on.
idk if thats bad for my engine. i wouldn't think VF would make something that is bad, but i'm not sure.

on the other hand, my GTI sounds like a diesel truck when idling and has a low growl when accelerating. i can def feel a huge difference in accelerating. and the shifts are as smooth as smooth can be!

just kinda worried about the excessive vibration of the engine...

The mounts are stiffer so vibration from the motor that was normally absorbed by the factory mounts are now being transferred to the chassis.

It is very likely that it vibrated the same amount before you just didnt notice it with the factory mounts. Did you torque everything to spec?

    yeah, everything is to spec.
don't get me wrong, i love the new mounts. when i'm sitting in the seats it vibrates like one of those massage chairs. i just wanna fall asleep.
but you are probably right about the vibration, i didnt think of that. cause the stock mounts are full of rubber ****.

Yeah, frankly if you have a GTI and don't get chipped you're an a-hole :D. Best $600 ever.

As far as the mounts go, not a lot of people here have them. You'd probably be better off asking on GolfMkV. You will feel a ton of shaking, so that part is normal. I'd assume if your chassis is shaking your engine will be too.

i'm either use to the vibrations already or they stopped. idk it doesnt phase me anymore. huge difference though, it sounds like i have a v8 under the hood!

i def planned on getting chipped, no doubt. i just want to get some more money in the bank before i start modding again.

good thing my bday and xmas is right around the corner

I couldn't guess, because first gear above 4500RPMs is like "HEY, POWER, THIS IS TRACTION. LOL STOP". It's faster than an R32, I'd say around or just below 6 seconds.

I need a dogbone insert to help stop the axle hop.

My APR Stage 1 spikes at 22, holds at 20, and tapers off as the revs go up (usually beyond 4k)

    oh ****!
get the PCV fix. i just got mine like 10 mins ago.
what a difference! before i spiked at 15 then it dropped to 8 but wouldnt hold for long.
now it spikes at 15, holds for a little bit, then drops to 10-12 and holds until i shift. def worth $80.

Mine spiked to 15, held at ~11. 08s should have the updated PCV. I saw an 07 blow his, not pretty. I'll probably end up getting one before too long.
