I've noticed a clicking sound coming from around my steering wheel or steering column. It notice it when I'm on a freeway exit ramp, when my steering wheel is turned pretty far to the left or right. It seems like a malfunction because of how many clicks there are -- there's not just one click, but a flutter of clicks happening for 1-2 seconds. Anyone noticed this?
Definitely doesnt sound normal. I've got some steering wheel feedback but its only when the car is stationary and I turn the wheel. I agree with xspainx69 get it checked out.
I've got another sound issue. Recently while on the highway I was taking my 08 (4281 miles on it) out for a spin and noticed a slight whirring noise. something would click then whir for a bit then click off. I have to take it in for the 5k checkup soon...any ideas what this could be?

This might be a stupid question, but are your front or rear windshield wipers on? Or your rear defroster? Or your temperature control is set not to cold - but somewhere in between?
Could be the relay switch for the timed wipers or something making that noise... But if not, then I am fully dumb..... Just trying to help...
Actually my wipers were on...hmmm
today it's not raining now that Hannah is past so I'll take it out and see if it makes the funky noise. I also think the temp was like 72 or something a bit colder. But I'll definitely play with the wiper thing. Thanks!
I've also heard a noise from the climate control, changing btw hot and cold - when the temp is in btw cold and warm (64, & 72). Normal, but freaky the first time I heard it. SOunds like there's a hamster in there.
I've got a clicking noise (sounds more like marbles bouncing around) when turning the wheel a very low speeds or standing still. Turns out it's bad strut bearings.
No warranty for me since I have an aftermarket suspension...
Hey guys, what you have sounds like a bad strut bearing. I had the same thing happen to my Rabbit and they fixed it under warranty. It happened with my car was about 7k miles young. I rand into someone else on this forum back in April that actually had the same problem.
