hey am currently in Iraq and looking to get my Rabbit on leave when i get back. i have tried to get quotes from dealers in a 150 mile radius where i am going to be. they all told me that they have no cars with the options i want and should order it from VW and have it shipped to the dealership. I notice the price on the website is a little less than the dealership. What price will i be paying? can the dealership take on other fees after i order it form the factory? This will be my first brand new car and have no idea how the factory shipped thing works.
i know that you have to pay like a shipping fee to have to car delivered to whatever dealership you would be getting it from, and then you have dealership fees and such. The particular dealer that i got mine from wanted 600 bucks to have one built and shipped to them. I would assume that it varies from dealership to dealership though. You would probably have to call them to get a quote.
