Small EVAP Leak DTC
My car has an engine light on and I ran a scanner on it. It told me I had a Small Evap Leak. I've looked at some sites online and they all say that the gas cap is the cause. My gas cap clicks and seals the way its supposed to. I don't have a smoke machine to test it through the Purge Solenoid. Any thoughts on what it might be or how to go about checking it?
Re: Small EVAP Leak DTC
I can't think of an easy way for you to check it reliably so go ahead and replace the purge valve. It's easy and cheap and it's super common failure. Large leaks are usually a bad gas cap and sometimes a faulty leak pump. Small leaks are usually mouse bites and purge valves.
