some help needed. My oil fill cap tube is loose.

The place where you put the oil in on my 99.5 VW Golf, 2.0 Automatic is loose. It feels like it's just sitting on top of the motor and I think oil is blowing by through the bottom of it. I wiggle it but can't see or feel where it seats on the engine. Did anyone ever have this issue? Can anyone tell me is that normal? Do you think it's broke and am I calling it the right thing? I'm new to the forum and did a search but couldn't find anything.Thanks.

OK I figured it out. There is a spring tensioned thing that holds it on. I need to get that replaced nothing serious. Surprised none of you knew what I was talking about.
