    Changing out the injectors

Looking for a link for changing out the fuel injectors on the 1.6 diesel. I'm sure there is a thread that's already been stickied, etc., but I'm one of "those" guys, who have a hard time finding these threads, amongst other obvious posts, etc.

One question I have though, regarding the injectors, is there a seal with each injector? I have a small leak (really more like a fuel seep), that I can see around the base of two of the injectors (the center most injectors), and I'm wondering if it could be just the return lines leaking onto these injectors. If I learn that the return lines are ok then is it possible that a seal in the injectors themselves are bad?

    Thanks

    Best link is the Bentley.

You will need to remove the IP.

There are no seals. you must replace the heat shields every time you remove the injectors.

your leak can be from the return lines or the supply lines.

The flare connections on the supply lines do go bad from removing and tightening many times.

Be sure the heat shields are facing the right way or you can do major engine damage. The concave side should be facing down.
