    gti brake swap

I have a 07 rabbit just got a great deal on gti front n rear brake calipers n carriers. My question is what else must I purchase? I understand rear dust shields and rotors. Is there anything else? Thanks in advance

The calipers, aside from being red, are the same. Its just the carrier to make do for the larger rotor.

You need rotors and dust shields, iirc. For some reason im thinking you may not need dust shields for one set but i cant remember.

You would need rear dust shields, you don't need them for the front (use your stock ones) I know Hans isn't running shields in the rear and hasn't had any problems...

Carriers and rotors are all you are required to have for the GTI brake swap. Pads are the same. If your pads are worn down you might as well replace them while you're in there. Also pick up a caliper compressor tool.

How much better are the GTI brakes? It's worth doing this swap?

About 200 for the front and 200 for the back if you get everything new. I'd say its worth it.

I mean it stops much faster? You know by any chance a place with cheaper carriers(part numbers for these carriers)?
