Gonna go talk to a man about these tomorrow:

They seem to be about the same weight as my current steels (16x6.5) and they look pretty nice. What do y'all think?

well, I think they'd look cool. But I'd be wary... no close-up pics = probably lots of crub. I'd ask for close up/high res pics before bothering to look at them in person.

Yea I kinda gathered that from "fair condition." Gives me plenty to negotiate with as long as its not super noticeable.

depends on the tires. i got some cl tires/wheels not too long ago for 200. wheels were in good condition because some had a slight rash on the outer lip but the tires alone (yokohama s.drive with lots of tread) were worth more to me. it kept me from dropping 5-600 on rubber for the steelies at the time...
i'm kind of missing my steelies though...

Yea. 15" steels were the most fun I ever had. Blew through rubber like it was nothing though. lol I've dreampt of going back to 15" steels on my current power.
The seller seems like an honest fellow who admitted the rubber might only last me another 4 months. I should've replace my rubber 4 months ago so that'll do. lol Gives me 4 months to find someone selling stock rubber on CL.

you looking to get back to OEM wheels? I have my 16" Magny Cours with less than 20k miles on them. Just sitting in the garage. (We live about 3 hours from Vegas.)

4 months? that qualifies as 16" audi wheels for $200. i'll get a year (~20k miles) for sure out of mine. i'm on my third set of tires. my second set of steelies were brand new take-offs, found on cl for $200. those came with the sensors and mkvi rabbit hubcaps![]()

I never left OEM wheels... Well kinda. I'm only going for Audi because they are rather cheap to get my hands on and look pretty good. I kinda miss my old Audi Q7 18" rims.
As for Mangs, ehhh, I'm kinda a 5 spoke guy. Thank though. I'm guessing LA BTW?

not bad. just check the offset before heading out there.
something like this looks tempting, i just don't know how easy it would be to find the missing one at a decent price: http://houston.craigslist.org/cto/3173516243.html

31mm so compared to 16x6.5" steels that is an extra half inch for the strut and extra inch towards the fender. Steels currently sit at 1.25-1.375" tucked so that'll bring them pretty close to flush.
Those are nice. I think there is a set floating around the LV CL with the same disposition. New replacements for Audi wheels seem to be $150-200. Finding a replacement someone is willing to part from a set would probably be pretty tough unfortunately.
Edit:
knew it

^^ that's cutting it close on the offset. seems like it would work though. you're also losing ~.10" on overall tire diameter, so it may help...
edit: hah hah, good find. too far from here though![]()

There's a reason I couldn't find pictures of 16" Audi TT rims on a MKV rabbit...

The one car in the audi lineup with 5x100... Tires are alright. Only one is bad and they do have some curb but I could practice repairing curb on these and then try and resell them higher than the $175 I paid.
Attachment 10836
They poke right now so an adapter is kinda out of the question.

why did you purchase if they were 5x100s?
i just raised this question with one of the new members...

Because I'm an idiot. lol I wouldn't have had I known they were 5x100s. Trust me I know how wheels work. Now that I own them I'm finding a billion websites with 5x100 all over them. Oh well. I'll get practice flipping wheels.

oh, and some of the mercedes wheels from the earlier generations are 5x112m but with 12mm lugs. i learned that the hard way (4 hours of drilling them out)...
09 CW, 2D, Manual w/ Monsters, Gorilla Skin + Legos & Steel Toes
Oh ok you were the one with that story. I sat there staring at the dumb bolt patter and between cursing fits I remembered all the stories of wheels not fitting and that one came to mind.
All the wheels have a little curb but this is the worst of 'em. Trying to clean them barrels and all. Quite a few seasons of dust on them...
