Hey everyone! Does anyone know what model vag-com USB and software I can use for my '08 rabbit?
Not to try to be an ass, but did you go to Ross-Tech's website and see which cable you need for a MK5?
AFAIK the software is the same for all of them, its just the cable/dongle that are different. There are three different cables (for normal people) and I'm not 100% on which two will work, but their website has all the info you need.

Cheapest solution is the Micro-Can (USB) which is $249.
The Hex-USB-Can will also work, though costs $100 more IIRC.
Software is the same no matter what cable you get.

Awesome thanks guys. I just got my rabbit not too long ago and exploring all the stuff you can do with it. So I'm still a novice with trying to learn things about my car.
if you want one cheaper you can usually find the cable on vwvortex.com for around 150 bucks used. The program is free.
