lower it, get some nice wheels, tire stretch looks good on the older cars, maybe a round headlight conversion if you can get one? (not sure if you can with the jetta). What engine does it have?

Depends on your budget. VR6 swaps are a dime a dozen, next after that is a 2.0l swap or a 1.8T swap.

Depends on which VR6 swap and if you're going OEM or aftermarket engine management. You could probably do a budget 12v VR6 swap for 500-800.

As far as wheels, I couldn't even tell you. Definitely not BBS RS.

Hey are you still workin on this car?
What trim is CLX? where does this come from?
I have a Jetta GL and I started by talkin to a lot of people that like sharing info.
This is a dialy driver with no garage to work in...
-Suspension (poly bushings, coilovers, wheels&tires). Brakes (swapping drums for discs) these get done this summer 2013.
-Tranny & engine come out summer 2014 - tranny being rebuilt by Brian @brokevw, I'm still lookin for an engine guy to help me with the rebuild.
-Body stripped, patched and repainted original color Strato Blue Metallic summer 2015.
    -Interior summer 2016/17.
Overall I gave my project 5 years.Good Luck with yours

88JettaGuy, please start your own build thread instead of hijacking someone else's old thread to talk about your project. Thank you.
