Hi all,

Is it safe to steam clean the magnesium alloy engine casings (it's just the casing)? I'm rebuilding a transmission (Ford C6) and getting the aluminum casing steam cleaned and wondered about helping out a buddy and getting his casing cleaned at the same time ... but concerned that the process may damage his 1965 VW Beetle motor.
