Want some coilovers...dont want rubbing...got a ?

so i have some TSW nurburgring rims that are 17x8 5-112....i have pirelli 225/45 tires.... im gunna be ordering up some FK silverlines at the end of the month and gunna lower around 1-2 fingers gap between the tire and fender since its my daily driver....i was wondering if anyone has a similar setup and has no rubbing... i really dont want rubbing haha...im new to the car stuff i always had trucks but im lovin my VW

do you know the offset? That'll have something to do on how low you can go but if the tires aren't up in the fender, you shouldn't rub. The simple fender tab mod should eliminate some rub as well.

Just in case you want some new shoes down the road But any 17" thats 40+ on the offset will have no probs going low unless your going stupid low. Im at 25" ground to fender all around on 17s and 45 offset; no issues besides the front lip scrapping the ground in hard corners >.>

Are you sure it's your lip scraping? Did you do the fender tab mod? I thot mine was scraping so I taped it up and went for a drive and nothing. Turns out my tire was rubbing on the fender liner screw.

my passenger fender was rubbing went i hit the deeper dips on the highway. fender tab mod fixed that...

yea I'm pretty certain the plastidip is scraped off on the corners, tires have no marks on them, but then again it doesn't do it all the time so there might not be any marks on the tire. I'll have to check it out.

you need to be careful to avoid the rubbing, if you haven't experienced it yet, it's SOOO annoying!!!

Cool. I still rub under extreme cornering (like on tail of the dragon) but not on the daily driving.
