Just got my 2008 CW 4dr Rabbit S over the weekend. Impressions and a question.

I have had a long list of Audi's and just sold my B5 S4 Avant with 154K miles still on the original clutch. I was in the market for a newer daily driver and the 4dr rabbit seemed like a good replacment!. I had an 06 A3 before the S4 so I was used to the size and quality of the car. I had looked for months for a good used 4dr that had to have heated seats and the moon roof. It seems like they were all either black or silver.

I found one CW 4dr that looked perfect. I am in Chicago and the car was in Michigan but I am lucky to have family within 20 min of the car. My cousin checked out the car for me and said it was CLEAN. Call the dealer and make a deal over the phone. Drive over on Saturday and get the car. It's a good 3 hour drive home so I got plenty of time to get a feel for the Rabbit! It has everything I wanted with 82K miles and the car looks great for the miles! Only one scratch and two scuffs on the inside. I am really happy with the car. LOTS of interior room, good power, looks great and has 4 doors like my S4 Avant had! The motor sound a lot like my old 90 coupe quattro I used to have.

I just wanted to share my thoughts and say that I am really happy with my choice to go with my 08 Rabbit S! I have some wheels I am going to throw on it next week but this will be my daily so I won't be changing much. My other car is a widebody A4 Track car so when I want to go really fast I can just drive that car

One thing I was wondering. I have the 6 disk MP3 player. Can we add the aux jack in the center armrest like the GTI's have?

I assume you're referring to the 6 disk player and not "dick" player
Since you have a four door, you must have a sat radio receiver. I was able to install an iPod cable and use the stereo to operate it via the sat radio button.

Congrats on the purchase. I too am a former '90 Audi Coupe Q owner and I loved the car but the upkeep got too expensive.

If you have the 4dr with the 6 disc* changer (Which every 08' 4dr came with AFAIK) and no ipod adapter there should be an aux plug in either the glovebox or center armrest.

yep, it's an auto. I usually leave it in "D" for better mileage and "S" works well when you want to scoot. I never really use the tiptronic.
