Ok, mine is a 2007 auto rabbit and I found some issues these days when cold start.
After I installed CAI, it took like one second to start the car, but now it took three seconds, even longer than the first time I got the car. And when I got onto the road, shift from 2nd to the 3rd gear, something really weird happen, the car rev from 2300 fastly and directly up to 4000, but the speed doesnt go up at all. It feels like spin in neutral and it happens only from 2nd to 3rd. If I floor the throttle and shift till the red line, I wont see this issue.. but I definitely dont want to floor the car all time. Is this kinda problem related to the engine or the transmission? And the problem only happen after the cold start, it disappears after the car warms up.
I reached a lot these days, I thought it was probably a misfire.. But I dont see any power lost.
If a changed the spark plugs, will I be able to start the car faster? I really cant find what problem I am facing right now,
There is a liitle bit "papapa.." like sound come out of the exhaust, is that common? Is the decreasing in power b/c of misfire obvious?
How many miles are on the car?
It can't be a misfire because that would have set off a CEL immediately
A misfire or two doesnt always set a DTC. And if you were having a hard misfire your MIL would be flashing. Its probably a bad valve body. Assuming its a normal trans, never seen a rabbit with a DSG haha
Also what's your mileage?

What you can do to be safe. Is remove your spark plugs and cycle your engine a few times to get any water thats in there out. Then get and oil change. DSG is a type of transmission.
How do I cycle the engine??
Turn the key with all the spark plugs out. It will blow out any water in the cylinders
You won't need new coils. What is the color of the spark plugs specifically the tip of the spark plug.

OK got it, thanks~
What happened, did it get any better after changing spark plugs?
I went to the dealer and they said there was no need to change spark plugs, instead they changed the transmission oil.
Now the "weird rev up" seems to be reduced a little bit, but I can tell it still exist.. Dont really know what to do, people in dealer dont think its a engine problem.. The car still run smooth though.. so I am just going to leave it like that
What oil did they put in? Nothing but full synthetic I hope.
Also, there is an extended warranty on the Valve Body of our transmissions (08 and older I believe). I'd ask your dealer about that.
