I still prefer to drive (weather permitting) with the windows down?
My last car without air conditioning was my base model '92 Dodge Shadow America, it had the classic "2-55" air conditioning (2 windows down at 55 MPH), all my other cars ('98 and '02 Dodge Neons, '07 Saturn Ion level 2) have had air conditioning, and I constantly used it, even if air temps were in the high 70's (we New Englanders can't tolerate heat, but LOVE the cold....)
Now, ever since getting my sprightly little Wabbit, I drive with the windows down whenever possible, even though my aircon works just fine, somehow, driving with the wind coming in through the windows just feels more "natural", it just feels *right*, AC just feels too sanitary and artificial in this car
Am I alone in this little bit of strangeness?

Im actually the exact opposite. I never used it in my other cars but with Rabbit doesn't seem to lag power when you turn the air on. My Saturn Ion (Level 3) - Yes I owned one alsoYou turned the air on and you knew it was on

What do Divorces, Great Coffee and Cars all have in common?

Replace all of them that you can, 99 percent of flakiness will disappear.
92, 93 Cabriolet.... 89, and 90 are Deceased.
I drive with the windows down until the temperature here passes 95. Since it's summer, 95 comes and goes before 9am and we routinely see 100+ so A/C is your friend.
if its sunny and between 65-85 degrees.. the windows are down at all times![]()

I too love driving with the windows down, but really hate the heat so I'm not timid about using the a/c. I will say that my '80 Scriocco would make my car interior frigid with the a/c on. My '08 Rabbit is alright but it never gets cold.
