hi everyone am new here, and am new to cars aswell. all over here mechanics are not so good and make bad jobs..
anyway i have a 2001 golf 1.4 16v and its my first ever project.
i want to put a bigger engine make a nice exterior and overall make it a very good performing car.
i have no idea what is the correct engine to put in my car with not having to do a lot of customization.
what would you do in this occasion. if you could only work on this car and cant sell it.
for the suspension , engine , maybe transmission, brakes, etc.
please tell me specific products that you recommend because am afraid to risk, and please keep it in a reasonable price cost. also please don't tell me to sell it...
thank you very much !

Your best option is to install either a VR6 engine or a 1.8T engine with 5 speed manual transmission. You will need to get a complete engine from a simlar MKIV with ECM and wire harness. Remove the old and install the new. You will need to get a dealer to program the immobilzer once you are done or it won't start. As long as you have a donor car, you can swap everything.
2012 Jetta, 2010 Tiguan 4mo.
