sorry im new to this website i want to post an issue with my car well i have an 2004 1.8t jetta and i have it with some mods well my question or concern is that well sometimes when i accelerate it makes like an explosion sound after passing the 3000 rpm or more but it does not happen often but it happen can you plz give me an advice if u guys need any pics of my engine i will post ir need it thank you
It might have something to do with the turbo. Im new to the VW scene but not the turbo thing. Have you checked all of your vacuum lines. Is there any lose of performance when it happens.

Well yes it feel like it loose accelaration after the bam then goes bit it does not happe. Often but when it happen it does it at little more then 3000 rpm I will check the vacuum lines thank u so.what do I have to check for like rip or what ps .. My card has the boost control n it only does the bam when I put the psi to 20 pounds in high boost but when is in low it does not make the bamOriginally Posted by Agentorange

Check engine light should be on, have the codes scanned at autozone for free and report back to us. Until then, we're just shooting in the dark
