Lock cylinder pulled out of lock

I have just bought a 1997 VW golf CL. The driver doors lock is popped out of the handle, I have the part, but am not sure if it is something that can be repaired or not.

I used to have a 97 Jetta and the same thing happened to me. My advice to you is to get new lock cylenders for all your new doors as they might be next. just save all the springs and tumblers and keep em in the same order so you can transfer them over to the new one, problem solved.
