I have read so many different comments on the c2 turbo kit for the rabbit. Some say it kicks ass and some say the engine can't handle a turbo and doesn't run very well. I was wondering if I could get a straight answer from possibly someone who has this setup?
Thanks!![]()

Not sure who says it doesn't run well because i've only heard of ONE person have a problem and they screwed up the torque spec on a bolt.
Otherwise I had it on my rabbit and it was the greatest thing. Had great power and knowing i had more HP than a chipped GTI and combined car and turbo was still cheaper than a base model GTI. You can build the kit however you like... from super reliable to a fully built race car. Just remember if you upgrade the power output of the engine then you will need to beef up the clutch to handle the increased torque.

Thanks for the replies! Did have the stage 1 kit? And how much does it cost roughly to upgrade the clutch?
Thanks!

I dont know anyone with the stage 1 kit. Most of us went straight for the stage 2 setup. Clutch cost depends on setup. You can get a Spec clutch and use the stock flywheel (~350) or you can drop 500-600 for a clutch and flywheel combo. Either way you're looking at another couple of hundred for the install.
yea kiserhd and djwhiplash know what they are talking about. Especially when it comes to the turbo setup.
