I understand I post a ton, but I just want to make sure I have everything right in my car. My suspension has been in for a couple weeks now and I have NOT gotten an alignment because I have been trying to diagnose a noise that is coming from the springs. It's a slight noise that sounds like a rumble sorta from both springs. An alignment would have no effect on this correct?

Front or rear?

That's what I thought. But it's in the front...still. It's not loud like it was before. I'll try to get a video up but I don't know if you will be able to hear it. I think it might be because I drove on it with the springs swapped. Now, maybe they're warped. IDK.

Chances are a strut bolt or pinch bolt are loose. Springs should be fine. Jack it up and go over the front end again.

^^ yeah, the impact is a must for that one...

Took it to a mechanic and he suggested it was the strut bearing. Would anyone agree?

Nah.. that will cause pops when you turn the wheels but shouldent durring normal driving. I still say its the strut bolts or pinch bolt.

And what is the pinch bolt?

Bolt that pinches the strut in. Its behind the BRAKE.

So I was checking it out again and noticed something very strange. I believe they are called the stabilizer links... but the right side link looks to be backwards. Now I was hearing noise on the left a lot now it seems like the right. Would that link being backwards cause feedback like this?

Normal. The passenger side looks different than the drivers side. No idea why, but both my wife's Rabbit and mine are like this.

Those are the front swaybar endlinks btw.
Okay thanks. So the endlinks SHOULD be swapped? and I was reading up on this issue and someone proposed that the upper strut mounts should be replaced whenever you install coilovers. Although, it's not entirely necessary. Would this be an issue? and if I bought new upper strut mounts do they come with the bearings?
