Phone is killing me!!!

I've been messing around with the bluetooth connected phone and it's driving me up the wall.
At first I thought I can tell it to simply call 'name', just like the voice dial on my blackberry, but noooo, it can't freakin' find it...
Then I RTFM that I can record up to 15 names, which should be fine, but I have no entries in the flippin' phone book, other than my own phone!
I also did a phone book update through the phone setup menu, to no avail.
Any idea how I can get the stupid thing (that would be me) to record entries for a few numbers I dial often? Thank you.

Still no dice. I can't figure out how to update the address book. I don't think it's coming from the phone over bluetooth.
And the entries I added on the touch screen don't match up with the address book shown on the central display either.

Here I am blaming the fine German engineering for my own stupidity!
Did you guys know that on a BlackBerry, sharing of the phone book can be disabled?
