Does anyone own a diesel Passat?

Hi everyone,

I'm looking to buy a new VW and test drove a Passat diesel. Does anyone out there own one? I am wondering if finding diesel fuel on the road is a huge hassle. Thanks!

Just bought one and picking it up tomorrow. I'll let you know how things are going with finding diesel on the road. Mind you most cities have a few pumps available. Oh, there is also an app on the iPhone to locate gas stations that can be set up to locate only diesel.

if you have an android or iphone, download an app called gas buddy. It uses your gps location to find the cheapest gas around you. And you can tell it to only find diesel.

Thank you so much for your suggestions. I didn't even think about my iPhone as a resource for gas/diesel stations. Pretty soon my phone will be doing everything but washing dishes (I wish!)

I have had my Passat TDI now for 1 month and in traveling (which I do frequently for work) I have a much harder time finding gas stations that don't sell diesel than do. Of course the good news is that you won't need to fill up very often :-) so overall it's not a problem.

So far I love it and I'm sure you will too!

I live in the Seattle area and diesel is extremely abundant around here, I would assume that is the case anywhere. Also our navi in our 2012 has travel link through xm satellite which you can pull up gas stations and choose diesel and it will show the prices and map it for you, but gas buddy on your phone does the same and its free.
