VW2.5
I got mine September 09, 2006 with 7 miles on it only 24hrs in the Dealer. It has 88k and still going strong.

yes
Yes. Mine has 54k on it. I just had the rear brakes done as well.
Contis still a good choice for stock type tires???
BTW loose fuel cap was the only issue I have had. (from dirt etc)
2008 United Gray 2-Door Manual

I wouldn't get the stock conti's again, but check out the Conti Extreme Contact DWS for all season or DW for a summer tire.
I'll second those conti extreme contact DWS's. ah-mazing.

Still own mine since day one with 13 miles on it... Brand new 08.
It's a far cry from day one...turbo, suspension, OEM bits, wheels etc...
But I still love the thing like the day I got it
APR,Carbonio,20squared,42DD,H&R,Black forest,StopTech, momo, oem euro, oempl.us, ECStuning, ACHTUN!NG, if its made for my car i've got it, will get it or have it on order! LOL
My 2007 bunny just effortlessly cruised past 44k miles. It had a recent tune-up, with the front brakes needing pads and the rear brakes needing pads & rotors. I also recently put Conti Extreme Contact DWS tires on the Passat wheels I retrofitted a few years ago, and the car grips the road like a roller-coaster on its tracks. I highly recommend these tires as an upgrade for the Conti Pro Contact OEM tires.
I've been considering trading this fine auto in for a new Golf, but my wife was just laid off and I just can't justify the cost. No matter. I'm still in love with this car and know it'll always satisfy.
Yes I am! I have 36k on an 08 2dr (I have only put 2k on it since November due to a 2.5 mile commute). I have only had to replace the oringinal tires due to lack of rotation (my bad). I have owned close to 10 VW's since I was 18. This Rabbit was my 1st brand new car. The VW community is the coolest gathering of enthusiasts around! I would only get rid of this car for a Rennen tuned MKII Sleeper Golf with 350whp!!
Yes I am. 66K miles. No issues other than a funky door latch so far. Getting very close to needing rear brakes, will be ordering those parts soon.

Yes, original owner. Picked up my 2008 Rabbit in Sep. of 2007 right after they made it onto the lot. Car has just shy of 22,000 miles on it. (Yes, it's babied. And filthy in this pic.)

sunnybuny, rear brakes need replacing about every 50k miles or so i replaced mine at around 60k and the rotors were gone (i think one of the pads fell off or something, and it rubbed against one of the rotors, very noisy) anyway i got new rotors and pads, it takes a few miles to brake them in don't freak out if your brakes seem weaker after the replacement.
so i had new rotors, new pads and brake fluid flush, for about $800 or so (parts and labor).
front brakes are still at about 50% (i have over 85k miles now) and i've heard people going over 100k miles on the original brake pads.
I have had my rabbit since day one. Got it in december 2007 with 151 miles, and i have 115,000 miles on it. Only thing i have done is get the second cooling fan replaced because it started sounding like a jet engine was taking off under my hood. And your normal brake and tire replacements, oil changes every 5k, and other normal maintenance. And the wabbit still runs amazingly.

1998 White Golf GTi VR6......totaled...i miss that car.
Original owner, 2008 2 door manual tranny Reflex Silver (THE BEST COLOR!!!1) 67K trouble free miles. Getting close to needing rear brake job. Never been wrecked. It's PAID FOR. I have been by the dealership several times eyeballing a new TDI Golf but I think I'll drive the Rabbit for another 4 years.
