    O2 sensor location

my Rabbit has 130k and for the first time has popped a CEL.

Borrowed a reader and found a code P2251: 02 sensor neg current control circ open (bank 1 sensor 1) and a PO130 which seems is a general open O2 circuit code. Guess its time for an O2 sensor soon.
I need to find the location of my "BANK 1 SENSOR 1" sensor and replace if the code comes back. On other cars it's the sensor before the catalytic converter, but i cant even see the sensor on this car. Anyone change one of these?

    Re: O2 sensor location

I got VW to agree to change my O2 out under warranty. As nitro said in an earlier post if your car is a PZEV then its covered to 15 years or 150k. If you live in California or a few other states like Maine, Massachusetts, New York, Oregon, Vermont and in Canada they should cover all emission related equipment. I had to call VW of America to make it happen because the dealerships i called around the SF bay area were not aware(or pretended they weren't).

^^ good deal. some consumers don't know this, and they pay for it. all of the dealerships know this, but they'd rather have the customer remind them
