CIS, we'd have to leave our chairs and drinks at the house and walk to the corner and then worry about getting in trouble for loitering. Because you know the police are just gonna crack down more. Having a place where we can do it all legally is our best bet

Ok, I called about the 406 Astoria unit. It is available. The guy that does the rentals just has to get with the owner to see if they will do a partial week. He didn't think it'd be a problem since it was out of season. Though the first thing he mentioned when I asked about the weekend was if I was coming down for the car show, lol. I told him I was, but I was a responsible 34yr old (or at least will be when september comes along, ugh I'm old).

The likely rate would be about $640 for 4 nights, plus taxes, processing fee and damage/accident coverage. So prob around $800. If we get 10 people for 4 nights, you can do the math and thats pretty damn cheap. To make it easy,(for those not staying 4 nights) I might just say it's going to be $80 per person no matter how many nights you want. Since most people seem to wait last minute. Also, I need to put half down a week after I book it and the rest 30 days before.

Also, there is no maid service, and they do not provide linens or towels. So I'll have to figure something out for that. I'd say the people that pay early get bed preference and can bring their own sheets.

Parking, all I say is I get a spot, lol.

Sounds awesome Greg! Thanks for doing the foot work on this, I know it's a pain. I think $80 across the board is very fair. Let me know when you need the deposit money, I can give you the $80 or whatever my full amount would be.

I am excited, this is a great location. Last year I wanted the Astoria but everyone wanted cis. So I'm really glad we're staying there. Thanks again Greg.

Also, everyone who's going, get Greg your deposits right away! I know first hand, it sucks reserving a property for a group and no one giving a cent until the week before.

Again, there are a total of 4 beds.

King in one room
two queens in two other rooms
queen sleeper sofa in the living room.

I'll make an official thread when I secure the condo. If we think we'll have more than 10, there are other condos available in Astoria. Or they can get a place in CiS and come and hang out.
