I'm having some trouble with my wifes 2006 Beetle Convertible.

We had a new battery that was draining. After replacing the battery and testing the fuses, it will crank now but will not start. The car sat for about 3-4 months.

It appears that the fuel pump isn't turning on. The fuses (according to the manual) are all correct and not blown. My buddy and I manually gave power to the fuel pump. When doing that, we could hear the pump come on, but the car still would not start.

Ideas? I'm not very bright when it comes to this stuff, so any input is greatly appreciated. Thanks!
