ive been offered a towbar from a 2000 model passat via a breakers he says it will fit my 2002 model is this correct i know from 1997 model to mine there is subtle changes lights ect but is the basic chassis ect the same? I dont want to buy the towbar on the off chance it will fit and iam totally confused as some people advertise them from 97-2005 then some say 02 onwards ect so just looking for a bit of guidence really.
