My engine block has a dent between the combustion chamber and the water jacket, I Mickey Mouse patched it with a material that lasted for 6 months then the head gasket started leaking again at that spot.

What other engine can I use in a swap I want to stay diesel. I hear that there is a newer turbo diesel engine that can replace mine with the minimum hassle.

Could someone tell me exactly which engines would work in mine and if possible give me some links to this type of engine swap.

At 72 I'm not giving up on them. Had a 67 bug, 64 SB variant S, 71 Bus, and 81 Rabbit, and now this 81 truck.
