Cat back or replace muffler

I've looked and haven't found an answer to my question so maybe someone on here can help. I have an 07 2.5l Jetta and am wondering what would be a better decision buying cat back system or just replacing the factory muffler with a performance muffler?

depends on what your looking to gain out of it...you might get a little bit more HP gain out of the full system
