    2007touareg daytime running lights

My headlight bulbs burn out about twice a year because of the daytime running lights. Does anybody know if it's possible to disconnect the DRL and bypass the sensor so I don't have to replace them so often. Of course the dealer said it's not possible, but I'm sure they don't want to give up the sure business.

I would assume that they can be disabled via Vagcom (vcds) like other models. Perhaps someone in your area has it and can help you out with that. There is a thread floating around with a link to a site that has Vagcom users around the country. I'll see if I can find it.
