open and close all doors (including the hatch) one by one. each time you do one, press the button to arm the system. it's probably your passenger door latch...

welcome to the VWOC and good luck...

is the battery in your key fob still good? can you use the key to manual open the doors with the lock by the handle..if you are able to get into the car does it start up?
im thinking one of 2 things

1.) Battery in your keyfob is dead..mostly thinking this one
2.) battery in your car is dead..(this is assuming the battery in your fob is good and you cant open the doors with it and when you go to start the car it doesnt start all you hear is clicks)

i dont think you should have to reprogram your fob if the battery dies in the fob...how is the car battery?

bring it to the dealer. They will charge you half an hour to reprogram the fob. If it didn't reprogram, then you can b uy a new one and they will program the new one within that half hour they charged you.

Ok, it was the car battery, then I check the keyfob and it was working, but later on the day it just went down and does not do anything!!

bring it to the dealer sounds like you have an electrical issue..something is draining your battery

Has the car battery ever been replaced? If not, time for a new one. 5 years is pushing it for a car battery.
