    Question Parking for the winter

Last week to drive my Cabby around, insurance is expiring (on purpose, she was my "summer fun" car). She's gonna be parked for about 4 -5 months starting next weekend. This is the first time I've EVER parked a car for more than a week, hoping I could get some advice from fellow VW owners as to what I should do???

Some info: She'll be parked in underground parkade at my apartment building (pretty sure it's heated, it gets chilly down there but never really cold). Unfortunately my parking spot is right next to the door to get in and out of the elevator area so it's kind of high-traffic area. And our building strata is ON IT keeping watch for bylaw infractions so i can't have her up on blocks or on carpets or anything (stuff I've read online that others do).

Soooo, any and all advice or suggestions welcomed! thanks

    Re: Parking for the winter

Alright, she's parked til April, got storage insurance and parked like usual. The only thing I did differently was added a fuel stabilizer and drove around a bit on the last day.

One other question though, i've read a million and one discussions online debating the "start it up once a month" vs "don't start at all" views. I think i'm going to go with the Don't start it up side, just because I wouldn't be able to drive around, and I don't want anything to build up etc from just starting and running it on the spot for 5 mins. But can anyone here that knows VWs specifically tell me which is best for this particular engine?

i think starting it once is to just moved the fluids around a bit so they dont condensate, maybe also to keep the battery charged.
however, my mechanic friend always tells me that a car is like your muscle, it will degrade if you dont use it
