Hi - My son just bought a 95 VW Golf. Unfortunately, it has some problems.
I am hoping that you will be able to suggest something. It won't hold a charge. It could be a short? The battery is new. The battery harness gets hot (is this a sign it is not charging?) If you bypass ignition switch, it will start. The aternator is not charging as well - it has a brand new alternator. He just bought the car Friday. Tried to get the seller to take it back, but I guess my son has to learn the hard way. . .Unfortunate that there are people who are liars (he said there were no problems). My son got half way home with the car and it conked out
