    Bluetooth Discovery Mode

Hi all - First time poster / brand new VW owner.

Has anybody had any major or recurring issues with bluetooth? I got my 2012 Tiguan on Saturday and have used it fine for a few days now - both for calls and streaming bluetooth audio from my iPhone 4 w/ iOS 5.

Tonight I got in, and it took me to a different menu on my MFI. Usually it scans for my phone and finds it no problem. Now it won't even try to scan. The bluetooth button in the center console above my head does nothing. Probably going to have to call the dealership in the morning, but wondering if this sort of thing is common or if I may have just had bad luck..

    Thanks!!

    Re: Bluetooth Discovery Mode

I also have pairing problem between my 2011 Tiguan R-line & iphone4. In discovery mode car finds the iPhone4 but when I choose to connect I only get " uncompatible device" warning in MDF...

    Any suggestion?

1.) I know it's a stupid question but is your bluetooth on in your phone
2.) try this...with bluetooth on go to the blue tooth menu in the MFI scroll down to media devices hit enter/ok...go to paired devices..hit enter/ok..then there should be a list of past paired devices click on the one you want to connect ( your phone) that should work its always my backup

Also I believe the bluetooth button only works if you are actually connected
