Actually, United Gray was my first choice, but would have had to wait. The Red was on the showroom floor, still love it - no regrets!

i wondered about the "TT" in your name, figured that meant something awesome little cars, i used to have a TT225 roadster, i certainly miss that car. one day i'll get another.

wow sorry it took me so long to post on this thread. Your cars are beautiful! I was looking at coupes prior to the rabbit, but then decided for the price of the used tt, i could buy a new rabbit, hence why im on these forums :D Welcome to the ROC.

Thanks for the warm welcome everyone. To answer a couple of the questions above:

"You should buy the new TT" - actually I drove the new one at my dealer and the car is incredibly nice, though it does not invoke the passion that I have for the MK1 TT. As you know, the MK1 was a breakthough design, very unique at the time and has remained timeless even though the car has been out since 1999. I purchased mine in 2002 and have had great fun meeting people at Audi events locally and nationally. I've also modified the car extensively so I have a lot of equity in the car.

"What made my buy the Rabbit?" Last summer I decided I wanted a second car so the TT could hibernate over winters and to slow down the rate at which the odometer was racking up miles. I purchased a Honda Fit (which is a great car btw) but over time, longed to get back in the "family" and started looking at VW and Audi vehicles. My friend purchased a MKV GTI which made me started looking seriously at the Rabbit. I love the smooth and powerful 2.5 liter engine mated with the 5 speed, and I like the sporty look as well as the cargo space and affordable pricing on the car. I do wish the mpg was in the 30s instead of the 20s, though. I stopped at one of the vw dealers on the last day of the month and traded the Fit for the Rabbit. Drove away that afternoon!

So that's my story and I'm sticking with it!
