Hi There,

Happy to report, that my airbag still did work, after twenty years!
But now I'd like to replace the popped one with a new one - can anyone tell me if I can just screw the new one in or if I first have to reset some switch?

Thanks,
CabAigner

Sorry for not being specific enough:
I have a 1991 Cabriolet, Etienne Aigner Edition.
In a minor accident the airbag popped and I found a replacement online for $50.
Now I'm wondering, if I can just take the old one out and insert the new one or if that would result in the new one going off immediately.
Again, sorry and looking foward to your input.

You need a new airbag module as they are one time use in the old cars, so like you said, most likely it will go off immediately. When working with any airbag stuffs, disconnect the battery and let the car sit for half hour. Then do work.

Put the keys in the ign in the on pos. Walk out side and connect the battery. If anything will blow, youll be out of the car.
