Moose with the R you get a K04, stronger rods, s3 cams and an all around better motor.

for 10 grand more. I still vote buy a used rabbit for 10 grand and turbo it for 5k and still have a faster car for less than a base GTI. Get some good quality used parts and you have a nice car.

I'll see how I feel about it once it rolls off santas truck. Driving it will determine how I really feel. AWD really makes a difference and i'm curious to see what kind of mods will come out. The wonderful part is AWD turbo. This means it's MUUUUUCH cheaper to mod than the previous R's and you gain so much more power.

The problem basically with the FSI/TSI motors are theyre limited in big power, but then again who needs moar than 500whp? You can squeeze 550bhp out of the motor, with AWD, yes, awesome. The awd alone will catapult you at the strip compared to a gti.
