I know this has probably been posted somewhere but i couldn't find it. Anyways, is there any way to get the security code for a radio if you buy it and they don't provide, such as taking it to the stealership?

How does one know the radio wasn't stolen at one point in time?

it takes 30min to remove the damn thing, how can the thieves remove such thing without being noticed?

It's being sold on ebay and it's from some online autoparts shop that claims to not have the code.

I bought the premium 7 radio off of LKQ ebay with no code. Just take it to your dealer. Mine retrieved the code for free.

If I were a thief, that radio would be out of the car in less than 30 seconds. Having no regard to the surrounding trim and 4 bolts makes it easy.

i dont know how to reply to the comment above... i'm simply speechless..... how many thieves out there are volks techs and knew where the damn thing is tied down to? and thieves are dumb...

You would think. We had thieves come to our dealer and stole lots of stuff. No damage, performed well, neat, clean, and knew EXACTLY what they were doing. We now have a VERY sophisticated night vision HD camera network and tall gated/barbed wire fences. But still....many thieves are quite intelligent when it comes to theft.

One last question is what is the sound quality difference in the two stereos, I don't want to get it and it sound the same.
