Question......I am looking to buy a '95 vr6. Had a question regarding the gauge cluster. The guy had the cluster replaced because vw screwed up the tach while fixing a vacuum hose for the cruise control. SO, now, the cluster is showing less than what the title is saying....which would be failed at an Out of State Inspection at the DMV. I was reading that sometimes the dealer can flash the cluster from the ecu to show the correct mileage. Is this true / can be done? Hope to hear back from you guys! Thanks for your guys' time!
You need to remove the cluster and turn back the mileage by hand. No computers here.
