Just got a 2010 GTI about 2 weeks ago. I've been noticing drops of water on the back window here and there. I park the car in my garage and it never goes below like 55-60 degrees, so the moisture I'm seeing isn't dew. I also have never used the rear window washer, but ultimately noticed that the fluid is coming from the rear washer jet. Took it to the dealer here in Allentown, PA and they said that they didn't notice anything wrong and couldn't "duplicate the problem". I've done a lot of reading and apparently this problem is running rampant...so much that there is a TSB regarding the issue. Anybody know what I can do here? The dealer says to bring it back when the problem occurs, but it almost always takes at least 3 days to get an appt after calling them. The damn nozzle was even leaking on the way home from the dealer because they used the rear washer! If anybody knows of another dealer in the Lehigh Valley area in Pennsylvania that would fix this problem, please post a reply! It would be most appreciated, thanks!

Fill the washer bottle to the brim and drive. Bring it back and bitch. The car is so new that they have to fix it or they get to buy it bak REALLY fast.

Sounds good to me Nitro! Will topping off the washer tank cause the rear fluid to dribble out more? If so, that WOULD be perfect....so I can take to the dealer and let them see. In your work travels, have you seen this problem Nitro?

Exactly. Filling it to the top will exacerbate the issue. I've performed the TSB on three mkvi's. Each tech has probably done about the same.

The point is did VW make a note to this, apparently not, I found the same problem on my MK6 and will bring it back to them next week. This is for sure annoying. Is there anything owner can do? What are the procedures at the dealer Nitro, do you know or can you tell us?

If there is no fix for something yet then there is no fix. If the TSB doesn't work and it still happens then the dealer can call VW technical assistance. At this point the solution is up to them, the dealer, adn the dealers FOM/QTM.
