Wink 84 volkswagen wolfsburg edition karmann

I have a 1984 Rabbit in great condition except the seats which are cow imprinted design.
This car is a convertible with Wolfsburg edition and karmann bagging. Clean title just looking into selling and or putting a value on it.

To get the best idea from people on this board you will need pics. Other wise people will just revert to the NADA or Kelly blue book for a value.

This 84 rabbit is located in Albany Oregon @ LBCC. This Rabbit has 150K Miles but runs good. It was donated as a fund raiser for SKILLS USA National competition Travel Expenses.

Re: 84 volkswagen wolfsburg edition karmann

All rabbit convertibles and or Cabriolets, are Karmann as they were built by Karmann Coach works in Germany and all verts are German built. The Wolfsburg emblem means that is was a Year End Closeout model that they upped the trim on, but the wheels aren't standard they are American racing wheels and I have only seen that wheel on 2 other cabbies. The interior dosen't look as the trim level is correct for the Wolfsburg badge. And the bumpers are the Euro style which isn't correct.

The top needs all 3 layers so it is a redo.... Since I can't see the engine, I would suspect that it is in the same carefree condition.
    Interior redo is warranted...

If you are looking at a price, since it isn't strictly stock, I would say 500-1000 max.

I have bought cleaner cabbys for a tad more than 1100......... You didn't state the mileage or if the car runs as that too is a plus or minus depending.
What do Divorces, Great Coffee and Cars all have in common?
They all Start with good GROUNDS.
Replace all of them that you can, 99 percent of flakiness will disappear.

    92, 93 Cabriolet.... 89, and 90 are Deceased.

Re: 84 volkswagen wolfsburg edition karmann

    Here's my honest Cabby-expert opinion:
    1) The top: either filthy or not the original color; sides are history -- the top will need replacing. It's also not latched properly on the passenger side; could be as bad as a bent frame, or as simple as the latch not being latched properly.

    2) The interior has been reupholstered and in an uncommon, unpopular print. The driver's seat is shredded; the rear seat is covered in filth.

    3) The wheels are not original.

    4) The bumpers are not original.

    5) The grille is not original, but in itself is worth a lot of dinero.

    6) No photo of the engine bay. It may still be a strong running car, but if the engine bay is filthy, if the engine and trans are oil-coated, points are taken off.

    7) Boot for the top? Carpet in the trunk? If no, more points taken off.

All in all, $500-800. If it were all-original, it'd be worth around $1000.

lolol, it took a few looks to see that the interior was cow print. that's awesome. too bad it's all faded and ripped up, i bet that was cute at some point.
