I got a letter from vw saying that the sunroof vents can leak causeing water to enter the cabin. while i was washing my car i looked inside to see water dripping onto the seats, floor and carpet.
There are many ways it can leak like you describe. First, open the two front doors. In the front door jam where the hinges are you will see a rubber nipple. Cut the rubber nipple off so its no longer draining through a little tiny tit but through a nice big drain. Don't be surprised if water gushes out when you cut them. If they are already cut then the lines may be off from the rubber and you need new drain tubes. if the drain tubes are OK, then the lines may have disconnected from the actual sunroof and you need to lower the headliner and reconnect them.
