When I am drinking at home...bud light in a can (it doesn't get as heavy in the trash can). When I am out PBR in a can and Guinness. I drank about five car bombs last night along with about six pints...the wife had to drive me home.
those are sorta polar-opposite beers there. bud light and pbr on one side and guinness on the other. wow!Originally Posted by snottyrabbit
i do love me some bass ale off the tap AND more and more bars around here have bass and guinness on tap for a wonderful black and tan. now, i just gotta find a bartender who can mix them properly. seems all this is new to people around here.
anyone ever tried a beer called "oxford raspberry wheat"??? i used to drink that when i lived in maryland (laurel/ft.meade area, for those who want to know) and it was a WONDERFUL beer. still haven't seen any sam adams cream stout around here, either...

I bought some Sam Adams Cherry Wheat the other night. It's ok...I like the cherry in it, but it's a bit bitter for my taste. Back in Charleston, we used to go to a restraunt called Hops. They made their own beer and had one called Clearwater Light that I LOVE. Had some really nice, subtle lemony tones in it. Great stuff.
Cameron's Lager. A micro just outside Toronto -- one of the smoothest beers I have ever had.

Hi,
I never developed a taste for beer. I like absolute & tonic w/Lemon! Very refreshing and I get my vit C.

I keep seeing all of these beer things..it seems to be the talk of the forum...Well I hope i dont get any - karma for this but ive never even tasted the stuff..lol...hard to believe???I am one of those straightedge guys lol...but my dad could give u guys some advice..he grew up over seas "germany, italy mainly" lol he knows a few beers..
I wasn't here when this thread was going on last year, but I want to join in anyway (and maybe some more new people like me will find it).
My favorite beer is Bass Ale.
Besides beer, I like gin with or without tonic. And so far Boodles Gin is my favorite...
I'm not really big on most other liquors or mixed drinks, so I'm pretty easy to please at most bars around here![]()
My favorites are Peroni or Killian's
pash
Killian's I can understand, but Peroni???I'm half Italian myself and I don't even look twice at that stuff. I'm sorry but Italy can make great wine, fast cars and even faster women but as far as beer goes... stick to some good Belgium, German, or even the occasional American Micro Brew...Ofcourse this is just my own opinion, but I've tried long and hard to find an Italian beer that is a decent drink and sadly, I'm still searching.
