    Fill Truck Gas Tank Problem

    1981 VW Rabbit Diesel Truck:
Every time I try to fill the gas tank it keeps shutting the pump off because it bubbles up. Any tips to prevent this so I could completely fill the tank without having to wait for for it to "burp", LOL

    Thanks

Re: Fill Truck Gas Tank Problem

That is because the vent line is obstructed.

If you look at the Wheel arch, you will see a vent line attached to the fill tube.
You probably need to clean it out.

Or you are using a high pressure fill and they will burp on a car every time. Diesel Trucks have BIG Hollow TANKS.
What do Divorces, Great Coffee and Cars all have in common?
They all Start with good GROUNDS.
Replace all of them that you can, 99 percent of flakiness will disappear.
