I retunred my antenna from parts4euro as well. The reception was horrible. I drive in and around NYC and could not pick up stations that are really strong!

They took it back and instead I asked to send me the OEM VW 9" antenna which is half the size of the stock one and refund me the difference. The reception has been great and they are only $13!

I like the nubbies, but not enough to jeapordise the signal. I would rather pay more and get one that works.

It took six days to get my nubby and I have not noticed any reception loss.
