Driving from San Diego CA to Texas, do I need to flush my radiator???

Just put on new tires and the last oil change was at 35,000

radiator flush should occur ever 100,000 miles or so. I dont know if vw even does rad flushes in these cars (aka their "lifetime" fluid) but it would be safe to do every 100k.

You will be absolutely fine. Like Big Greek said, you don't need to worry until around 100,000. Just make sure your car has enough. And if you are feeling paranoid you can bring water with you but you won't need it.
