I finally took my car to a weigh station tonight so I could finally tell people for sure when they ask. I had been saying that my car was about 3 grand with me driving. Which was a guesstimate based on one of those silly 1/4mile calculators putting in my known WHP and altering the weight until it matched my proven track times.
My Car + 1/4 tank: 2908
2908lbs/188bhp: 15.46 power to weight ratio
(BHP calculated assuming 17% DT loss and most recent dyno of 161WHP)
Myself weighing 130~ turns out I was only 38lbs off. I basically get to ride for free compared to factory curb. 400lbs lighter and I'm officially gocart status (ie mini cooper curb weight). Anyone else know their car's weight?

where do people usually weigh their vehicles?
i know if you go to some scrap metal places, there are scales that weigh the vehicles on entrance and exit.

Your local friendly truck stop. I did mine at the Petro up the street.

They shouldn't charge more than 10$.

why yall gotta have a "american ton"?????
Because yall's tonne is a fraction in lbs. Ya'll get a clean number for tonne to kg why shouldn't we? :D Its not technically called an american ton in our defense. Its technically called a short ton.
